Bulgur Breakfast Bowl
INGREDIENTS
  • 1 ¾ cups milk
  • ½ cup bulgur, fine-ground
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp honey, maple syrup or agave syrup

Topping:

  • Top with fruits and nuts
  • 2 tsp ground pistachio
  • 2 tp pepitas
METHOD
  1. In a medium pot, heat milk. Stir in bulgur and cinnamon.
  2. Reduce heat to low. Let it simmer covered for 15-20 minutes or until bulgur is tender and creamy, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
  3. Stir in honey or maple syrup or agave and share it in bowls.
  4. Top with chopped fruit, pepitas and pistachio.
  5. Serve warm with additional fruit and honey or syrup if desired.
